Caroline Maxwell BSC MBA QTLS MSocInd(Adv)
I am a freelance indexer, creating indexes for published books. I have a varied background in business, teaching and public services. I am an Advanced Professional Member of the Society of Indexers and have QTLS status (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills).
I make the index as useful as possible to the reader and this makes it a priceless addition to any book. My specialist areas of knowledge are education, management, languages, human factors (ergonomics), textiles, crafts and history.

More About Me
I have indexed a variety of books since 2015, including academic books, BTEC textbooks (management, information technology and applied science), political memoirs and biographies.
My background is librarianship in the engineering industry. I later worked as a Human Factors Consultant, specifying requirements for IT systems, and evaluating their usability. I also taught adults English literacy, supporting many learners with dyslexia. I have studied several languages (French, German, Latin, Greek and Russian).
I have had a lifelong involvement in textile handicrafts, particularly embroidery, quilting and lacemaking, but also dressmaking, knitting, crochet and spinning. My other leisure interests are walking, art and history.
